Private Confession on Deaf Ears...

Private Confession on Deaf Ears...

A Poem by E.j.aka.Hannah

Damn the clouds in the sky,

Damn the gods that make them fly,

Damn the wind, the sky, the people,

Damn the feelings that make me weak.

All I remember from my eyes closing,

is drifting off to pleasant sleep,

But then my dreams, they betray me,

and I see your face return as a ghost in the fog.

I dont expect you to understand,

I didnt expect you not to cry.

But if only you could see,

all the tears I cried

to cover your grave with grass.

If your ears are still trained to receive

the words of love I have to grieve,

Listen to these,

and forgive me my trespasses so I may feel

the icy glare melt to a pleasant stare,

for even though the miles tore us apart,

You,

My love,

will always own my heart.
