A Walk in the Park

A Walk in the Park

A Poem by E.j.aka.Hannah

The leaves on the trees,

Ive noticed,

Are no longer your favorite shade of green.

Now their red, their orange, their yellow, their all so different.

The stones on the path,

I can feel them through these shoes.

My feet are throbbing, my legs: they ache.

But as I walk, I ignore the pulse, I can feel your hand.

Its warm, its strong,

You make me feel so serene.

Is there anything better in this life,

than simple joys in the middle of strife?

A light kiss, a quick squeeze of the hand,

A look from the love of your life,

that says everything you cant.

Your brown eyes,

their so warm.

Your pale pink lips,

my love, they make me melt.

My knees go weak at the touch of your kiss,

I never want this moment to end.

So dont let it stop,

give me forever.

This man,

the rose in my hair,

the shell in my hand,

the ink in my skin,

the love in my heart,

This man,

He's my everything.
