Plague

Plague

A Poem by E.j.aka.Hannah

A hand around the waist,

a tear in the eye of the old woman who weeps

for love long lost,

and for love never found,

this is the reason why she lies in the ground.

A kiss on the lips,

a smile on the face of the old man who dreams of his beloved,

dancing to the drums and guitars that sway in the rythem,

dancing in the fields as they watched the sunrise,

and gave their love away to the coming future.

A walk in the park,

for the young couple steady hand-in-hand,

they march, they cry,

they smile and then they die.

But they love each other, all is well,

until they burn to ashes in their own personal hell.
