dead butterflies

dead butterflies

A Poem by Hellga

got up in the morning...
dead butterflies in my stomach,
what have you done?
were they alive for a while,
since u have gone?
mind the steps,
switch off the mirror,
doing my hair,
they r not here...
I still remember the butterflies,
beauifull,  big and strong,
they might went to the west or south,
they should not stay long...
Used to wake up in the morning,
they followed me everywhere,
ticking me when I was worrying,
I thoght they would stay forever...
mind the steps,
switch off the mirror,
doing my hair,
they r not here...

We also lost most of our butterflies and most of the brightly colored songbirds as well. Apparently it's the price of progress.
I thoght they would stay forever...
mind the steps,
switch off the mirror,
doing my hair,
they r not here...
