The horizon

The horizon

A Poem by Scott Troy

The scent of shower
Mild and soft
Laughter
A warming embrace
A heart filled
Blood and longing
A future tense
A passion intense
A long sought prize
The demise
Of a heart to unwilling
The birth
Of a horizon
Recanting the sins
Of past tragedies
Following the path
A heart swelling
With intensity
You echo my mind
Somber morning bells
Strides of burgundy
Calm autumn suns
This declaration
A calm murmur
Between heart beats
Easy as ink
However
However were we to think
Such a travesty
Of romantic amnesty
Could take place
In this
The crux of self indulgence
And utter infatuation
An astounding love
In this universal calculation
I not only am enamored
The crisp intellect
The warmth
The adamant commitment
But the future
The promise
The fact I can
Feel the hold
You’ve laid on my heart
The journey we have made
Is only the first part

I like your words, "I not only am enamored." this piece was a bit confusing with lack of punctuation.
