the tide and the harlot

the tide and the harlot

A Poem by Scott Troy

the aftermath
moving forward towards cause
an inner battle
innumerable demons amidst ego
ever stepping
fowards towards atttrition
my sins
measured in dpeths of depression
lonliness and anger
i dont fear lonliness
i miss with a absolute passion
a cheerleader
holding my back
turning my ear to the future
now
i look to myself
to balance the scale
i can pick myself up
i can proceed through failure
its hard
i long for the bond
the strength i get through another
yet
everyday is a new horizon
i am strong
i test my resolve daily
labors i need to see myself through
success beckons
my ears not deaf
i heed the call
ill perceivere
learn to love myself
learn to accept
let go
i must
how can anoyone love you
if you cannot accept and lovev yourself
ill stand to greet the tide
