Absolution

Absolution

A Poem by Scott Troy

I bathed in you
A now barren hall
Decrepit and hollow
You became but another season
Part of the past
I can not forget you
Though you bared the sharpest teeth
An my heart still bears the mark of your claws
My chest heaves at your very thought
Not with anger
For even in these cold depths i cannot temper hatred for you
For everything we were
Our kingdom
For everything i hoped we could be
My dream
I dont expect to ever hear from you
Cast aside with my judas of a brother
I have already began walking
A winding road
Uncertain
Hurt and troubled
Yet ever forward
A giant among men
Yet truly known to one woman
