To Love~A Poem by Helen WoodwardArtwork by Trudy Rice.
At a time when love occurs Matters are often confused Transitions are made without thought Maybe that is the only way... To love...
A heady time of passion In a fabulous den of wonder That may or may not fade... May or may not bring happiness
When we open our hearts to love We also open ourselves to possible heartache It is a discovery of will A determination to hold on As we scatter feelings without caution In the quest for love...
Thoughts of self are not entertained As we give all attention to loving Hoping against hope that we will be loved In return... If we are not, why do we persist?
The answer is embodied in the 'hope' element Love dwells fervent in hopeful dreams Keeps us moving forward Even though we may never reach the horizon.
