Unseen Classrooms

Unseen Classrooms

A Poem by Helen Woodward

The strong allegiance binding my heart to yours

Is so often comforting, re-assuring

Nurtured as it is by God himself

The creator...still creating a masterpiece

Thy will be done in us.

We may lack understanding...yet...

There is power in this depth of loving

Supreme teaching in unseen classrooms

Gives heed to moments of exhilaration

Confined beneath eyelids...cleansed...

Salty fluid...release.

We go a few rounds and wonder if love was ours

We ask for it, but when it comes we still question

It is fear that keeps us grounded

Fear that leaves us weakened

And fear that halts emotion

All you need to know

Is all I have to give.
