ColorsA Story by helen.cornettTell you about colors, eh? Now why would you deserve such a thing?”
“Colors
are overlooked and unappreciated, just like us, you see. Yet they are
angelic and pulchritudinous,
and can tell you so much untold, almost in a way that words do.” “Tell you about red, you say? Red is anger. Red is all the insanity that you have left bottled up inside your soul right before you explode. It’s the color atrocious evil, but also the color of roses and lust. It’s as well the beautiful sensation of when you know you are in love with someone and you know that there is no one else in this entire planetary that loves them more than your heart does. And red is beautiful, and the color of pure hatred.”
“Tell you about orange? Orange is the color of the horizon when you’re with the ones you love, and everything you feel in that moment is unstoppable. It’s the coloring of hazel eyes in the beaming sunshine and also fire that scorches you when you’re too happy. It’s the colors you see when the sunshine is beaming on your eyes and through your eyelids you see oranges. It gives you the feelings of warmth and comfort, and you feel like you could be infinite.”
“Tell you about yellow, you ask? Yellow has no bad qualities. He is perfect. He is the color you wake up to every morning that gives you that sensation you never get used to. You lay out in the sunshine with him on a breezy October morning, and it feels like nothing in the entire world could feel this happy and this perfect. Yellow is the color of happiness and clearness. Without yellow, you wouldn’t know what perfect is or what song to sing.”
“Tell you about green, yeah? Green are the color of my eyes. Green is the color of springtime’s meadows and innocent vegetation that our wonderful God has created and sewn together with his bare hands. Green is simplicity. There’s no questions about the meaning of green, because it just is. It’s married to red on Christmas, and then married to blue on winter nights on ocean.”
“Tell you about blue, darling? Blue is sadness. It’s all the sorrow your heart has ever felt in your life up until this point. Every heartbreak, every loss, every soul discomfort. Blue is the color of heaven, the beauteous sky’s wave every time they pass you by. Blue is the color of blueberries, and beautiful eyes, that you know no matter how hard you try, you never forget about.”
“Tell
you about pink, love? Pink is her. It’s the color of her lips. Pink
is the color of her cheeks when she gets nervous or embarrassed. Pink
is the feeling of when she smiles and nothing else in the world
matters because there is nothing else to search for. Pink is your
favorite dress on her; her skin when she’s flustered. It’s your
love for her that is sweet and forgiving. Pink is just, simply,
her.” “You wouldn’t want to know about white would you? White is nothingness. It’s the feeling of when you are numb because you’re too weak to fight it anymore. White is the future, that scares you with every day that passes. But white is her blond hair in the sunshine. It’s what’s at the end of the tunnel, babe. It’s what we are all fighting for until the day we pass. White is the color of hope and Christ.”
“So,
now are you ready to completely forget every word I’ve spoken and
move on with what your life shouldn’t be? Are you ready to never
stop and stare at the wonders of the world to see it’s
beauty?” © 2013 helen.cornettAuthor's Note
