NATURE'S PALETTEA Poem by Helena
When each day’s brilliant yellow dawn drifts slowly into view I paint my mood into a happy hue
Splashing sapphire’s blue jewels and ocean dipped with fluffy ice cream clouds melting the horizon makes nature applaud
My imagination responds to the beauty of a palette where lives true harmony I mix my emotion-filled coloured symphony
With mellow sketching of mountains and snow capped peaks, dipping valleys into pastures green I draw things that can be seen and unseen
I smudge my canvas with rose red glow, tangerine and violet oils perfumed sweet art is my passion, I feel quite complete
As heightened senses begin to bloom from inspiration’s steady flow the world takes on a different glow
Eventide seems alive with my singing heart I paint until the sun goes down so emersed in this sea of creativity I just might drown
With charcoal night approaching fast I dot my art with little stars colours of a rainbow’s blush I pack my paint and brushes away in nature's gentle hush….
