OBSESSION

OBSESSION

A Poem by Helena

OBSESSION

When faces of flowers bloom out of the ground

  Proclaiming blissful spring stirring proud

   Babbling brook’s crystal clear streams

Wash over crushed satin dreams ~

Breathing in colour of love’s rainbow hues

Clean as early morning’s spangled dews

Haunting echoes of sea sprays o’er my soul

In healing spirits of my hearts firm resolve ~

I see mountains of splendour rise heave’n bound

Where angels step from cerise feathered clouds

Honeyed words flow from your feather quilled pen

Your captured visions enthral senses to zen ~

As the world turns to face the day

I say goodbye to night time's disarray

And behold the ecstasy of your exquisite expression

Which I confess has become my constant obsession ~

Dear Helena,

A truly beautiful and inspired piece--a tripping melody of words for the mind's delight.

Very best regards,

Excellent. Flows and rhymes wonderfully right through the perfection of that closing pair of lines "... And behold the ecstasy of your exquisite expression / Which I confess has become my constant obsession ...". The message of that final pair of lines struck me as divine. ~Jim

Obsession can be a good thing for it shows passion when not taking to evil ways... very breathtaking and divine piece of writing.

Obsession... I've always considered it a dangerous thing. Even as I get older I still can't say if it is constructive or destructive. But at least with your poem I can agree that as long as it is mutual, than you make it feel alrighty then...lol

Nice work!

I am very found of sunrises and any work that speaks to the change from night to day holds a special place with me. I really like how you incorporate varied themes like sea spray and mountains. Give it a well-rounded feel.

Great job!
