WILL-O-THE WISP DREAMSA Poem by Helena
WILL O THE WISP DREAMS
Dreams are that elusive beautiful butterfly Flitting from flower to flower Delicate and pure Catch one if you can ~
Dreams are as feathers Floating in the breeze You may seize one then after a While you let if fall to the ground To wither away ~
Some dreams are like tiny twinkling stars Brightly shining with such promise The ones we wish upon On some enchanted evening ~
Dreams of longing of what might have been Are pretty castles in the air that have had their day Beautiful and sometimes painful memories to be sure But serve no purpose today ~
Day dreams can sometimes turn into Nightmares of niggling doubts Because in our minds we believed them real ~ Dreams are not realities, dreams are soon Gone with wind ~
The wind is full of whispered hopes and damaged dreams prolonged unfulfilled needs, Broken hearts and aching souls But still I dare to dream ~
~~~
