PINKA Poem by Helena
PINK
I shall wear pink when I meet you…… I know you like white hate black
Primrose and buttercup yellow Would be a compromise… But no, I shall wear pink!
Pink and white you said…… Do those hues remind you of the rosy Pink of a new day dawning Or, the virginal purity of pristine snow?
I shall wear pink for you I have thrown out the black dress Now the mourning is over….
A pink and white chiffon scarf Would be a nice touch Don’t you think?
The compromise yellow will be the Beaming smile I will have on my face When we meet… I will be easy to spot I will be the lady in pink!
