UNENCUMBERED

UNENCUMBERED

A Poem by Helena

~ Unencumbered ~

I have been one acquainted with the night

Intrigued with its enchanted beauty

When the sun leaves at dusk to rest awhile

I find my solitude in ebony's silence

Where incognito I can wander into dreams ~

~~~
Unencumbered from the harsh
world of daylight's glare
I write my poems as witch clouds sweep
Across the full moon clearing cobwebs
From my mind as my muse dances with
stars disco lights
delighted
as moonbeams catch her unawares ~
~~~

Its then I slip into slumber

not yet asleep but

In a twilight zone

of little jumping thoughts

Of memories, hopes and fears,

of lost loves

And new beginnings ~
