chapter two

That was seriously starting to scare me, maybe  it was just an accident

I doubt it. I started run I  don't like the idea of being stuck in these wood

alone when the sun goes down.

I checked my watch it was almost 7:30.

I could get to the nearest  town by about ten  o' clock  if I tried. I slowed down so I was only jogging. A twig snapped behind me  I  twisted around sword in hand ,there was

a girl about 10 or 11 about my age, She was out of breath desperately trying to get up the hill. She  is  no threat. she had a  small bow  strapped to her bag.

"please don't hurt me" she whispered

"I won't hurt you, but why did you shoot me?"

"I thought you was a gorgan"she blushed embarrassed

"Gorgan" I raised my eyebrows

I walked over to the edge "do you need some help?"

she nodded

I lowered my hand over the edge and hauled her up  

"how did you get here?" I asked

"want to get to camp Jupiter" she answered happily

"camp Jupiter, what's  that?"

her eyes lit up with joy "its the most wonderful place in world

you can train there and do quests and they have a feast everyday!"

"were is it ?" 

"some were in  Brooklyn" she muttered "well the entrance anyway"

"can I come with you?"

"yes of course!" she shouted with glee

"I'm Diarni  but most people call me di or dia"

"marigold ,call me mary"

" we should get going "  I want to get to the nearest town by nightfall

"me two"

after walking for about three hours we came to an exit from the forest leading two a small  town

"Carlsbrooke" "what kinda name is that"

"a name is a name "

we crossed the road

"we need find some shops " I noted

"and a place two sleep" mary added

"find  us some were to sleep I'll  get the food "

"good idea"

"I'll meet you back here in a hour"

she turned around and started to walk away

"MARY," I bellowed

she whipped around

"yes"

"take of your bow"

"oh yeah"

"see you in an hour"
