Dear Child of MineA Poem by Jared NolisDear child of mine,
Do you trust me enough to let go of your fear that holds you captive, do you trust me enough to let me into those rooms of your heart that fear has caused you to put armor on and wall off from the rest of the world in order to keep the pain away. Are you willing to take off your armor, to take down the walls brick by brick-- for though you keep these rooms from others and me they are kept away from my light, light that can bring healing, restoration and redemption dear child. You must know my child that there is no fear in love. For in perfect love there is no room for fear, for perfect love removes all fear. Your attempts to protect yourself leave parts of yourself cut off from my presence, so my child you must let go of your armor you have desperately clung to-- let me be your armor my son and I will protect you from this dark and troubled world. I have laid my hand upon you, here is my hand my child, I have removed your armor, your walls are gone and now you are uncovered and unprotected by your defenses-- my hands long to hold you, I take delight in you dear child of mine. Run to my presence, let my light shine upon you from the inside your, let my love transform those parts of you that are exposed and weak; for I AM the LORD your God and I am mighty to save! 28JUL2012 12:34PM © 2016 Jared Nolis |
