Snow FlakesA Poem by Jared NolisThough this poem was written to someone it is my guess it's words no longer have any weight or value; so instead of deleting it forever removing it from mind and memory I've decided to share it.Oft in remembrance of softly falling snowflakes brings back sights delight As mind remembers warm memory of cold crisp air under cloudy wet night
Of time in life where when stillness quietness allowed enjoyment of simple notion Walking talking each crystal glows passing by tall lights above as emotions motion
Time slows as if seconds become hours as our gaze meet underneath evening grace Flashes of pure excitement expectation anticipation reflection as I hold your face
Yet instead of kissing your lips as long to do so a quiet still voice speaks into ear A voice of power and gentleness reminding me to give kiss without shame is so clear
Taking heed to familiar kind voice kissing your forehead forgetting if thoughts less Gave voice to words spoken in mind for seeing your expression after priceless
Keeping memory upon shelf of heart and mind stowed away like precious treasure To like good book or fine wine pick up again to feel, see and taste again God’s pleasure
So dear lady as reading poem’s thoughts enter mind and heart may they stir and kindle For when heart is willing to create new memories my heart waits for flame to rekindle
