MortarA Poem by heido
There is a consumption A binding A thickness It weighs ever so much Builds ever so slowly And compresses
I walked yesteryear Among the footsteps of a fairytale I drank sweet sweet love
The most inappropriate of circumstances I phallacy, to go with the phallus
I built grand walls Of mortar and tears
They edged around my being
I was once quite lovely You wouldn't know it now
I was once quite happy You wouldn't know it now
I was once lovable You wouldn't know it now
I was once, I was once I wasn't
There's ash after this journey Thick Clinging to my lungs My hands
I imagine I shall die of it Perhaps in among the death I will know peace
