Punk Rock Putrid

Punk Rock Putrid

A Poem by heido

It was so fitting

For us to end, as we began

With a deep breath and a sigh

A mournful thing

Long and exhausted

Exhaling all that was good

To make way for all that is greif

You let me love you again

My dear trickster

My posion lover

My ever changing promiser

The grandiose way you spin webs

Makes a widow of us all

I trailed my tounge along my lip

To catch the salt and tears

I twisted in my chair

Something sick taking hold

Deep in my body

A sort of conquest of the putrid

Forever? HA!

Your stars lasted but a moment

Your love waxed and waned

Become darkened

Eclipsed by the shadows

Born anew on the other side

Where I used to lay

Geez. This poem wrapped around me like a snake and squeezed the
life out of me. I felt the sadness and despair while reading it. It really
has a special feeling. I wanted to pick a favorite stanza, but they just
kept coming and coming...wave after wave.
