Scrape-Deep BeautifulA Poem by trainwreckIf you know who this is about, you'll know.
Close your eyes;
See if you're blinking, Winking over the bright, Shiny white lights. Can you see them shine? You're like the sun, Only brighter. I thought we were almost done, But I was born to be a fighter. I'm alive, and you made me lighter. Can I shine just a shade brighter? I want to be your favorite. I want to be the best mistake You've ever made. Darling, I want to be great. Remember my beautiful face And how you made it break? How I used to (used to?) shake? I still find myself shivering now and then. I've learned how to shatter, And how to pretend. Actresses? We're good at what we do. I'm unrehearsed, but here's a show Just. For. You. You and I will write a symphony, In which I will steal the sympathy Of everyone, even your wife. You want more? Go ahead. Take my life. I don't need to smile. I've never needed to see. It may sound like effort, But I still believe.
