Are You Still Falling?

Are You Still Falling?

A Poem by trainwreck

I once opened a door,

and you were hidden behind it,

Trying so hard to heal before

I would see the brokenness.

You were far, far too late

And I thought that was okay.

You had eyes like an angel,

And a will to try and fly.

My own heart was mangled,

But you knew how to make it right.

I thought you were too late,

and I was ready to break.

You were healing so fast

And I knew that I could leave,

so I sighed and left the past,

But you didn’t give up on me.

I wanted to waste away,

but you always stayed awake.

You’ve been my legend my whole life,

And you made my wings brand-new.

So I got a chance to fly,

And its always been all thanks to you.

A very positive poem of love. When we love someone we will stand with them in the good or bad days. I like the complete poem. A very good ending to a outstanding poem. Thank you.
