The Silver BirchA Poem by Edward TapperMy love of natureAgainst a
pure blue winters sky With mellow
limestone far below Birch trees
and mighty oak Grow thick upon
the brow
Lone and
tall, deep rooted, strong A Silver
Birch that stands apart The fervent
blow of spring-times hue Brings forth
its beating heart
Hands
against this mighty tree My arms
around it twine The sap
inside vibrates and grows Like natures
heart to mine
A curious
chill has filled the air But my arms
around it cling Oh how I
love this calm hillside And the
consuming days of spring © 2017 Edward TapperReviews
