A friend for life

A friend for life

A Story by heba
"

You're not alone, my friend, I too wished to have this friend who'd forever stay.

"

A friend for life is what I'm looking for; a friend who'll forever be by my side and would never get bored of my stories. She wouldn't necessary laugh at every joke, I know I'm not funny anyways. I just need this friend to be forever there. I want her to think about me every time she thinks about herself. I want to explore the world with her. We don't necessary have to be similar, but at least we could try share everything together; I'd do what she loves and she'd do the same. I want to explore the world with her. I want this friend to believe in me, no matter how bad I show her I am, she'd be like "I understand what you are going through and I still believe in you. I'll be there no matter what. You'll be my friend for life, I promise."  I don't want flowers, jewelries or presents, I want to see her to prove to me that she cares. I mean, it's okay if he brings me diamonds though, kidding, a car would be enough. Seriously, I'm in a desperate need of this friend, a friend who'd understand and wouldn't only think about herself. Butt, does this kind of friendship exists?

Dreaming is good sometimes though. It helps me get out of reality's s**t. Don't worry my imaginary friend, Zee, I'll always care about you more than you do. I'll love and listen to you all time. Call me 4 am and I'll be there. I might curse you first but it's okay. Cursing a friend, is a sign of love. I might bring you lots of your favorite chocolate too. I'll let you know all my family members, my deepest secrets too. I'd stay at your house 24/7 until your mom mix our names. I'll call your mom "mama" and so will you. We'll have happy times and sad too. But it's okay, this pinky promise we'll never be broken, we'll forever be friends, my dear. You won't forget me as you grow up. You'll still love me more than your boyfriend, or maybe a little less. But you'll still prefer to go out with me more than him, or maybe you'll not. But, it's okay, I know you'll forever love me and I'll forever do the same.

BAM! What happened? Where did you go, my dear friend? A small fight would do all this or have you never loved me? What? I'm so selfish, bad and schizophrenic? But I thought you believed in me. What? We can't be friends anymore? But I thought our friendship will forever be. It turned out to be a myth and only a wish/ Friends aren't meant to be forever and lonely is how I'll always be.

"She wouldn't necessarily laugh at my jokes"
"We don't have to be similar" (All the 'necessary's are unnecessary ;) )
"...but at least we could try TO share everything together"
"She would say," I understand..." ('be like' just sounds ghetto to me and throws off the tempo a little bit.)
"...or presents; I just want..."
"...it's OK if SHE brings me diamonds..."
"But does..."
"Dreaming is sometimes enough."
"Call me AT 4am and I'll be there"
It's a good story but I strongly suggest reading it out loud and seeing each word individually and you'll see some of the mistakes and misspellings you've made and which sentences don't make sense. The quotations above are a few revised sentences I made of the first paragraph and a sentence or two into the second one. I hope this helps. -Ian

A nice sentiment. It's not impossible to have a lifelong friend, but it's delusional to think that each friend would be unchangeable. They too would be subject to our changes. But you know this.
