An Orphan

An Orphan

A Poem by GEETIKA GARG
"

An orphan's saga.

"

I peep out through the crevices of the door

To the bright day outside

Sun smiling elegantly.

Inside i reside

Trapped in dark

Alone

Fearsome of the outside world

I lay scandalized

My existence at stake

I am crushed

My voice pressed

For i m a loner

An orphan

I stand at the window

Watching the rainfall

As if sky descending

Luring me to dance

The whirling of the leaves

Remind me of god’s existence

But i still lay frozen,

Immobile, heartless

For this is the way my life is!

I stare at the populace outside

Unlike me, my desiccated spirit

They seem aliens, strangers.

As the day sets

Leaving me in twilight dew

I pray my spirit be freed

The captive spill of evil

The darkness, decadence.

Dear god

Let your lap be my home

And your words the light!

"My existence at stake

lifeless objects like doors and windows too attain their life here..
great representation of objects..

Beautiful.. I must say...
