The Dead PastA Poem by GEETIKA GARGIts all about a girl betrayed in love, still waiting for the one she loved! The past has
haunted again Stabbed her A dagger
inside her soul Her eyes are
liquid Heart
swelled, Dreams shattered Dust
overlaid gone by days Still
persist in her vision. Tears have
now evaporated Throat
parched, lips sealed And she
feeds upon The crumbs
of your memories. But she's
still waiting. She is your
shield That you'll
never realize She has made
your life heaven That you'll
never accept. She loves
you And that
you'll never know. You
betrayed! Left her for
the cruel world To decide
her destiny. You changed
the path That’s now
hard to trace. But she
still stands there Transfixed Alone No matter if
till eternity. Her eyes
search for you In each face
that cross her. Trying to
pull out the dagger She’s
bleeding. Ghosts of
the dead past Have haunted
again... But she's
still there She’s still
there To embrace
you just once. © 2013 GEETIKA GARGReviews
