A Poem by Taji Herbert

Clouds wept uncontrollably

Until one day

The sun smiled warmly

Oceans kept running

Until one night

The moon pulled it near

Flowers slept deeply

Until one spring

The rain kissed them passionately

Spring jumped

From each dewy blade of grass

Excited to let the world know

It had arrived
