Anxiety

Anxiety

A Poem by Taji Herbert

Can you hear the voices?

The clamor all around you

You look

But see no one

To the right

To the left

Hello is anyone there?

The fear of failure

Is what you hear

It embraces you warmly

Then squeezes out every breath

Finally it kisses you good night

With anxiety like this who needs enemies

In the dark place of our minds, we all can get lost and become worried from our own thoughts wondering. I hate it when I fear to be left alone >.>

I rather enjoyed this work. As someone who often suffers from attacks of anxiety i appreciate the personification of it and how it can kind of take the place of everyone else in your life until you are all alone with it.

I would really like to see you approach this subject again and try and dive even deeper :)
