Who are you?

I have been hearing whispers

People speaking but not saying much

women and men using hushed tones to ridicule and question

Who does she think she is

I am who i say i am

i live my life true to me everyday

The whispering persists

They never accept the good

they only believe the bad

I am upfront about who i am

what i believe

and where i stand

but people want to walk around a plainly stated answer

like the rose they refuse to stop and smell

Who does she think she is

Well let me tell you who I am

I am

My mothers daughter
