The Threads of Time

The Threads of Time

A Poem by Diana Lynn Hill/Angell

The Threads of Time

As we travel back in time

And see the threads life has left behind

Through the early days of childhood

Of learning and play

Into the adolescence years

When mistakes are made

In these lessons of life

We become the adults

We are today

Seeking for wisdom

Ever learning

But never coming

To the full knowledge

Of the unknown

In memorandum of time

We leave footprints behind

For generations to come

To fulfill the utopia of time

My Dear Writing Friend,
A very thought provoking muse. It reminded me of a saying I carry with me, “Every step of the journey is the journey”. You wrote this, “When mistakes are made, In these lessons of life, We become the adults”. This range true to my way of thinking. If I look at my past mistakes not as rite or wrong, but as what did I learn from them to share with others so they don’t stumble, then the Great Mystery makes these life lessons sweet. An excellent write that more should review.
Blessings, Laughing-Bear
