The ghost in the cornerA Story by MisguidedGhost
She slept awake. In a trance almost. Her body was tired and falling into a slumber but her mind still tense. Kept up by the constant fear of what watched her drift into unconsiousness. I'll close my eyes for a moment she thought. What could I miss in a moment? Not much. Each wall hid behind it a different story all entangled back to the same question.. Why is this happening to me? She gave up with the constant worry of not knowing what was to occur. So she shouted to the ceiling ''What do I have that you want?!'' Nothing it replied. No sound, no whisper, no questions. Nothing but the longing curiousity to finally see this face to face. It scared her but she realized that the playfulness of seeing it's shadow or hearing it's breath was too much to handle. She hated not knowing what it was exactly even though she made a pretty valid guess. Half the fear is not knowing what it is, what will happen, or what it wants.
