Rain Dance

Rain Dance

A Poem by Heather Mirassou
"

Barefoot and naked I tap-dance on bubbles...

"
The sound of crackling glass
Fills my eardrums and awakens me
A steamy haze beckons me
Barefoot and naked I tap-dance on bubbles
Sweet nectar fills my mouth with delight
The humid rain calms and soothes my sizzling skin
The stars are the brightest I have ever seen
The moon is tucked away in its cradle
Mother Nature has raised her hand for me
Come rain on me

2nd line- "fill" should be "fills" and "awaken" should be "awakens"
I love the picture you chose; it goes well with your words. For some strange reason, I kinda feel like dancin' now. I have to say your last two lines are my favorite. Overall, it flows really well and has a nice structure. Great job. Keep it up.

I like the imagery you have created with this poem. I could almost smell the sweet aroma of a rain shower on a summer's day. I fell right into this piece, and the romantic feel it evokes.. A nice little write.. Thanks for sharing it with us!
