A Visit To The Lake And What Did Tweeze See?

A Visit To The Lake And What Did Tweeze See?

A Poem by Heather Corti
"

Poem story about making new friends

"

A visit to the lake
And what did Tweeze see?
A green c**k-a-too
Drinking a hot cup of tea

Well hello, Mr.  Bird
Way up in a tree
What is that sound
What can that sound be?

That is an elephant
My dear sweet Tweeze
Her  trunk is her horn
Her name’s RoseMarie

She’s so big and so strong
A funny sight to see

as she floats across the lake
On just one water ski

Welcome to my pond
Everyone come with me
Fragrance is in the air
Flowers are ripe for potpourri

The green c**k-a-too
Put down his hot tea
Flew down to the pond
Leaving his perch in the tree

The three new friends
Were a sight to see
Gathering flowers
Being chased by a bee!

They mixed their flowers
Making special potpourri
Then they went into the water
Each on one water ski

Together they sang
In sweet harmony
“Tweeze is our new friend
Our pond’s honoree”

Laughing and dancing
and drinking hot tea
And nibbled on cookies
Until the sun “ZZZZZ’d”

“It’s a great day”,
Said Rosemarie
We started alone
And ended a “WE”
