My Sweet Darling, Mea

My Sweet Darling, Mea

A Poem by Heather Corti

My Sweet Darling, Mea

I cradle you in my soul

I hug you in my heart

I count each passing moment

Every day that we’re apart

I kiss you in my dreams

I feel you in morning’s dew

You’re my sweet twinkling star

Who too young bid adieu

My very own Saint

Up in Heaven you wait

One day we’ll be together

We’ll meet at Heaven’s gate

My sweet darling, Mea

Until that day’s near

In every bird’s chirp

Your sweet laughter I’ll hear
