Memories Don't Die

Memories Don't Die

A Poem by kavir

Memories Don't Die

From the extortionate echelons of merriment,

To the darkest dungeons of gloom,

From the most unclouded of the beaming days,

To the tawniest nights without the moon,

From the obstreperous confines of overfilled congregations,

To the hushed insides of a segregated room,

From the bewildering loftiness of prodigious accomplishments,

To the inordinately shattering depths of vanquishment and doom,

From the giggles of togetherness,

To wailing forlornness and the choked moans,

From the singeing calefaction of the blistering summertide,

To the frosting moments when the winter looms,

In every miniscule of time,

In every bit of vacillating fortunes,

In every speck of light and sound,

In every hue that life assumes,

Can one be ever,

Secluded and alone,

When the myriads of images,

And cavernous quantums of remembrances,

The memories of the past,

Have always been along with,

Riding all the way,

Traveling all along!!
