Angel With No Wings

My first poem

Angels have no wings, she said

while I remained tight lipped

all they do is sway around

looking for something to give

 

Angels have no halos, she said

while I stared blank and through

all they do stay abound

not knowing where and too

 

I can tell you one thing, I said

while she stood judging and near

My angel has no wings or halos

but he is special, that is clear

I've just started to write poetry, so I,m just looking for ways to improve

The rhyme seemed a little forced and the last stanza didn't seem to flow that well. But don't give up on writing, keep it up! Practice makes perfect. :)
