Now and Then.

Now and Then.

A Poem by Tiarra Templeton
"

Another poem about life. About my past, present, and future.

"
There's a small creek in a forest
In the town I grew up in
And I've walked right through it so many times
Without the want to just jump in
Though things have changed, I still can pray
For the day that I'll go swim
In the small creek in a forest
In the town of all my sins

There's a bright star flying past me
In the lit-up night time sky
And I've wished on them so many times
Without the hope, I can't deny,
Of my wish to come true, but I won't be blue
No, you'll never see me cry
When a bright star goes flying past me
And the high hopes burst into lies

I could tell you it's easy, but then I'd be lying
We live life so fast that you'd swear we were flying
Looking around, but not keeping in mind
That of all we have, the least of is time

Your words made me ponder.. the town I grew up in... what i've seen.. what i've hoped for.. and still do. This is filled with emotional imagery so profound and moving. And these lines carry the message we so fail to realize.. time is precious.. and we have precious little of it.. none to waste.
