Thinking too much?A Poem by Tiarra TempletonI was stuck in a situation where I had to choose between two people that I really cared about. A lesson learned, I guess.
So this is the fate that she's met today,
a lasting impression that wont go away She says, "I can't let this go, I wont sleep tonight," While he's promising her it will all be alright In her dreams she pictures field's of bright, yellow flowers Alone, but at ease, her mind sleeps for hours If she wakes up, she knows that she'll still feel down So she promises herself that she'll wake up leaving this town While her body it shakes from this lasting impression, Her mind is still facing this lasting depression If she leaves it all now, really just finally goes She'll give up that secret that almost everyone knows And it will hurt her to say that it wont be okay She's opposing the pirates while they fire away The Captain's holding her captive, although it sounds strange, She is who she is, and that won't ever change Her thoughts are too much, all this happens too fast Hoping for things that she knows will not last Or hoping for things that wont come back, for that matter A lost, lonely Alice running from the Mad Hatter She starts feeling the pressure breaking in to her veins, Her heartbeat pumps the pain right back into her brain But he sighs and cries, "I'm sorry, it wont happen again" Now she's stuck between loosing him or a friend But either way, it's all still the same She's still spinning in circles to the sound of his name With no destination, without a map or a sign, She's running away to find a way back in time She's going somewhere where everyday it wont rain Where she wont miss anymore, where there is no pain But it's too much to take while she casts away There's no way out of meeting her fate, today © 2010 Tiarra TempletonAuthor's Note
