Mind Games.A Poem by Tiarra TempletonAnother old one about another old relationship.
I've realized it now when I've ran out of time
Clocks spinning their hands and words blending in rhyme Its too hard to spit out, so please hold your tongue With you being so young, all these words come undone It's time for the ending, but the begining is near While you whisper in fear, all his thoughts disappear But the people behind? All they can do is glare They stop and they stare, and you're standing there Criss-crossing your thoughts and emotions run wild He finally sees clearly through the eyes of a 'child' And while the people keep talking all you can do is fight. Wish on everything possible that things will end up alright Your hands are still shaking and his tremble, too Who would've thought that the same felt brand new? You think you're not ready, and you know you're too scared Pretending that for so long you've been so prepared. But stop thinking so much and just hold on tight To two lost lonely hearts and a butterfly flight And just for tonight let your heart win over your mind Stop thinking in rhyme, let it work out this time Try and puzzle back pieces you know are still there Let your heart live it's dream and show that you care. When times running out and you're scared to death Just do what's best and give life one last breath © 2010 Tiarra TempletonAuthor's Note
