wi11sh11es.A Poem by Tiarra TempletonAnother poem written about someone in the past. I guess this one is more accepting than the other one. Again, it's old.
We're changing like smoke from a cigarette
We swirl and then disappear off into the air I'm the stars in a doubtful, foggy night sky And I'm screaming down at the clouds, "It's not fair" We appear to be as rare as a rainbow, We're there when the rain had poured down If you're near, though, our touch is electric And just one kiss could light up a whole town. Me and you, we shine like the sunrise We'll hurt your eyes, then we'll open them wide The beauty of us is the clearest of oceans, But we twist and tumble like a strong tide. Our words seem to flow out from our spirits And with just one kiss, they're forever on your tongue. But my mind was so blank and so open I didn't take care, being so naive and so young. Now you've changed like the changing of seasons, So far off from the one you once were. I held on like a small child, Didn't take care what I couldn't endure. And now were nothing but hopeless, Like wishes made on every appeared time. We're the thoughts in your head, the ones left unsaid. And we fill up our glasses with rhyme. © 2010 Tiarra Templeton |
