Two Flowers

Two Flowers

A Poem by Dhaye
"

Memories of good friendship will be treasured forever...

"
I was a lonely flower in the field
Surrounded by weeds
Feeling stupid
Hopeless
And weak

You were the other flower
Feet away
Surrounded by weeds
Just like me

But I admired you
For we are different
You are smart
Hopeful
And Strong
Unlike me

Our friendship
Is one best gift
I ever had

I prayed for you
To be happy
See your own smile
When you look in the mirror
One thing that you never realize
Because what you see in me
Is what you think of the weeds
Around you

So I decided to look
At the weeds around me
Learned to dance with them
And see their beauty
Until I find my own

Now I see
Two beautiful flowers
Smart
Hopeful
Strong

Miles away
From each other

Hopeful and good words shared my dear friend. Sometime we must find joy in a field of weeds. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

social distancing in metaphor...sometimes it takes another's reflection to show us our own true worth.
