Forty-one Days

Forty-one Days

A Poem by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

Without light

"
I count the days of sadness
Since your last hello
I count from one to thirty
But I still need to count more

Forty-one days without the light
Would you imagine how it feels
I cannot see any color
And everything I see is dark

Each day I hear only silence
I always go back to the porch
Where we used to sit and talk
More than a thousand and eight hundred days before...

Minutes become hours, hours become days, days become weeks and the heart slowly learn. We are alone. You made the reader feel the understanding of a separation, missed someone. Thank you dear Daisie for sharing the amazing poetry.
