Color Me

Color Me

A Poem by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

Missing something I always wanted to do

"

~

Color me with hues coming from your heart
Touch me gently as you hold your brush
Draw every memory you want to come alive
Put them gently and never do it in a rush

~

Leave traces of your hand all around my frame
Make me your reflection, your soul's looking glass
Feed your spirit with creation you always want
Color me with shades of you, make me your prettiest canvass

~

I really miss painting. 😩😩 Paints are so costly plus I can't find time to do it. 😨😨

' Color me with shades of you, make me your prettiest canvass ' Whether your desire to cover a canvas or another being, this is a sizzling yet gentle comment for and to someone precious, surely.

As always, you've used language in a languid yet colourful manner. Tis beautiful.

Utterly lovely image.
You also paint beautifully, with words.
Most appreciated the line: "Make me your reflection, your soul's looking glass."
Impressive!

Perfect use of words and description. Allowed the reader to have visions of a canvass coming alive. Thank you dear Dhaye for sharing the excellent poetry.

"Make me your reflection, your soul's looking glass" ... I love this line as it speaks to me of the utmost aspiration of love, to be the innermost reflection of the beloved. A lovely poem with elegant wording. And I wish you a New Year full of great painting and everything you love Dhaye ❤

Thank you, Divya. Happy New year to you and your family.
The flow is very smooth. I imagined a blank canvass enticing the poet to put some color or life to its emptiness.
