Broken Verses and Scattered Memories

I'll explain myself in broken verses and scattered memories
Even if I don't understand why now we're like enemies
How did it happen to us after all the love we had
I couldn't move on from this nightmare, this is really bad

Yesterday, it's you and me against this wicked world
I fell but you held my hand and helped me fight the cold
Yet it seems that yesterday, I never had a clue
I didn't notice from your eyes if words were true

So today, please know, I'll try to tell you everything
Even if it will mean more pain, no matter it will bring
Even if I don't understand why now we're like enemies
I'll explain myself in

First off, the title is terrific. :) The structure, specially, the ending is unconventional but it give emphasis and visual representation of the poem's meaning. As to the content, i think anyone can relate to this. Friendship could sometimes turn sour and the most frustrating part is that when one doesn't know the reason behind it.

So beautiful, you create such heart-felt images that show a tender heart done wrong, that somehow remains strong, while it has been betrayed. Another masterpiece.

Thank you. The prompt was so effective that it came as both my beginning and ending lines. I am hap.. read more
i like the way you put the letters on the page to end this...and yes, we wonder what happened?

so close one minute and then like mortal enemies the next---all the pain, all the shattering that happens to two hearts that seemed once as one.

intensity here.
