it made me think na somethings are not everlasting... i guess sometimes some changes brought us a little further to what was, but that doesn't mean you'll stop loving the past, you just have to find a way how to love then more in another way... :) this is really deep... in the sense of our human nature... bravo, pretty friend!

This is awesomely amusing LOL the Mrs.Marcos complex instead of the old lady that lives in a shoe you have so many shoes you don't know what to do its genuine amusing and I love the song

That was humorous, and it reminds me of how my wife looks at inanimate things -- she is always afraid she might 'offend' something like by showing too much attention to something else. She feels guilty throwing away old clothes, as if she was betraying them. it's an odd way of looking at non-living things, but I have found it is more common than people care to admit. Well done, Dhaye.

Thank you so much for the kind words and the little story about your wife, Eddie.
Cute, and so true. I have a pair of running shoes so worn out and old looking, but when I am looking for something to put on to do a small errand, I always choose them. I like the metaphor you have used here.
some collect lovers like shoes, and always get them with the size just loose enough that they can slip out of them easily enough, in order to move on to another pair...
Aw - i never felt that I would ever get emotional over a pair of shoes - I have had my own favourite trainers I must admit though which I hated to see go. This si classic Dhaye. The picture you've added is soo stylish too. Very artistic emsemble, the whole.
POV of shoes - whatever next?
I loved this Dhaye - left-field and very entertaining.
:))
Mmmm..I would usually buy shoes when my favorite is almost worn out. :) You are very good at personification, Dhaye. Like the shoes in your piece, it makes me wonder why some people would suddenly change their attitude towards us? Last line of last stanza, i think there's typo there :)
First of all, thanks for spending your time here and for checking out my typo, Ms. Gabrielle. .. read moreFirst of all, thanks for spending your time here and for checking out my typo, Ms. Gabrielle.
Second, I like your new avatar. lol
Third, you are right...there's an analogy between the shoes and the people around us. Maybe we are not aware that some of them have that feeling.
Fourth and last, I like personification because I'm not good at metaphor. lol

I thought I made an error in each line so I reread and compared the two poems you posted as part of this comment...then I found out, verse 1, line 3 and last verse, 4th line. lol
But anyway, thank you for spending your time to my poem. Thanks for checking out my errors...I edited them right away last night.
I will return the favor tomorrow. I think my drowsy medicine wants me to close my eyes for now. lol
