Shall I Hate?

A passing mood

Shall I hate the  time for not being kind?
Shall I get mad of it for confusing my mind?
Or shall I look pass of it like a serious blind
Even when today I am left behind?

Shall I hate the raindrops  for being cold
When they always think of me being bold?
When I want to touch and long to hold?
This feeling of mine seems uncontrolled.

Shall I hate the space between us, dear
All the feeling's faint and nothing's clear?
Shall I tell you more about my fear
What's hurting me, sharp as a spear?

Shall I hate the world for being failed
When pain's the only thing that prevailed?
Shall I hate this life like someone jailed
When it's too much late the truth is unveiled?

nice write!! i personally don't hate anything cause its to much work to hate. yet I dislike, can't stand, disgusted by many things in this place we call the world. if it's to much toil, then you know. nice i really enjoyed this write! brings other mind to you, me, hehe blessings once again your lady ship.

The questions were invitations to every reader to ponder how they shall react on the given situation. I think we all experience hate. It makes us human but when we hold on or nurture it, it may lead us to our own doom. "being failed" - poetic license, i suppose. :)

The "world" here refers to all things and people that affects a person's life. I described it as something in a state of being "failed" or "unsuccessful" when the usual effect of everything to a person is only pain (When pain's the only thing that prevailed?). Yet, I always use poetic license in my works. :)

Hate if left unchecked can become an all consuming, debilitating emotion, causing one to be bitter and resentful of the world and all therein !

This one is really powerful and touching. "Shall I hate"?. No, you should never hate anything or anyone. Hatred doesn't help you. Instead you should accept life as it is and fight your way to your destiny.
