I'd Rather Be

I'd rather be a poor wife but happy with my man
Than to be the richest on earth but alone sitting under the sun

I'd rather be a simple woman that takes care of her husband
Her husband who also takes care of her and always holds her hand

I'd rather be a simple worker but working with my love
Than to be in the highest position but true joy I never have

I'd rather be poor but happy,  I'd rather be simple as me
Than be a rich one with a broken heart and life that's so empty.

Such words I got after reading your poetry. Yes, it's better to be poor financially, but rich at heart than to be rich financially, & poor at respect, faith & living-life may or may not with happiness. No one becomes rich with 'money', but alongwith 'virtue'. Nice flow of ink. Well written.
