How We Live

How We Live

A Chapter by Dhaye
"

True devotion

"

What is love without having a sacrifice?
What is sacrifice without a true devotion?
Is there a devotion that is forced by men?
Does sacrifice mean a forced obligation?

We often seek devotion from other hearts
We often ask for sacrifices but then we assess
We often force others to love and care
Yet we often think more but we feel less.

Do we really see ourselves from the mirror?
We are created to become creators-
of a brighter sky and a calmer sea
of a softer breeze and a greener pasture.

Everyone has his legacy, everyone has a dream
Everyone wants both the sun and the rain
Everyone wants to smile, to laugh and to grin
Everyone wants to move on from too much pain.

Then let each other live freely and try to understand
So we can tell the world how we love and care
How do we sacrifice and show our devotion
How we live our life that is really fair.

Yet we often think more but we feel less.

that particular line always caught my attention, everytime I read this, ngayon lang naka review,hehe... so we do, we do, we do tend to overthing things/situations having less of the feelings... specially when your under too much pressure from stress or other people pushing you to do this or that, that we neglect to feel what's right to our own right...

Sacrifice or obligation?

sometimes they co-relate together that, somehow we tend to do it all anyways... hay... yan ang buhay practical... boom! :D

True sacrifice comes from within, by love and will, and not by obligation... a truly beautiful piece my friend. Exquisite.

Thank you so much, Michael.
An eloquently penned poem of harmony and free will to live and love as we please, uninhibited by peer pressure or outside oppressive influence !

Am I right Dhaye ?

The screen that appeared on the side of the main home page.
'I've looked at clouds from both sides now...I really don't know love at all' I don't think it should be either, it's give and take or love suffers the consequences, you can never force anyone to love another, there's no rhyme or reason for our heart's endearment. Nicely pen'd and gorgeous pic Dhaye.

Wow! Love your thoughts, Frieda. Thanks so much. :)
Would you still consider something as a sacrifice if it is done to someone you love? The first few lines gave me the idea that this might be a deep pondering from a point of view of a lover. But towards the end, i realized that this piece is a question whether our existence on earth had truly mattered.
