A THOUSAND TEARS

A THOUSAND TEARS

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

I cried...

"

A thousand years-
      I can't make it
for in every moment I can make a tear

A thousand reasons-
      of loving you
and every pain that's hard to bear

A thousand smiles-
      they're gone away
now I am in this dark corner again

A thousand sighs-
      they make me free
unchain this heart from so much pain

A thousand wounds-
      they make me sick
and give me so much aching fears

A thousand words-
       please come to mend
and wipe away my thousand tears!

I love you for a thousand years by Christina Pirelli. Very eloquent combination. Do you know that this song hit record views on YouTube ? I guess who would not want to be love for a thousand years. And moreover to have somebody willing to invest so much on you that they are willing to wait a thousand years . No one would wait that very long for another big bite. There's always so many fish that swim in the ocean. Why wait for the fish that may never come and bite our line ? Again ... if we lose it ...I'm just rambling .

Can I request something even just temporary. Can you feature my favorite piece of yours " Taking Flight ".
Its what really set you apart from the rest of us ...

Thank you, Jimmy
Words can help, but the tears still flow. I felt myself swimming in the depth of emotion in this poem. So expressive! I liked the repetition of "a thousand" at the start of each stanza. Heartfelt words. Lydi**

Thanks a lot, Lydi.
Some clarity to this work and its a plus:

A thousand years-
I can't make it
for in every moment I can make a tear

A thousand reasons-
of loving you
and every pain that's hard to bear

A thousand smiles-
they're gone away
now I am in this dark corner again

A thousand sighs-
they make me free
unchain this heart from so much pain

A thousand wounds-
they make me sick
and give me so much aching fears

A thousand words-
please come to mend
and wipe away my thousand tears!
---
A thousand years-
I can't make it
for in every moment I can make tears

A thousand reasons-
of loving you
and every pain that's hard bears --- or (too bear)

A thousand smiles-
their gone away
now I am in this dark corner again

A thousand sighs-
they make me free
unchain this heart from so much pain

A thousand wounds-
they make me sick
and give me so much aching fears

A thousand words-
please come mend
and wipe away my thousand tears!

...the illustration of this verse...
speaks aloud and defines that for the reader...
good to read this one...

This lost love has left an empty vacuum in the heart of the lamenting partner! A somber, soulful tale, brimming over with poignant empathy!

Tom, thank you so much for a nice visit. :)
I love this poem, Dhaye! Your writing always flows so well. This is very beautiful. The repetition really highlighted the concept and allowed me to be embraced by your words! I love your writing :)

Perhaps, it's hormonal change or the poignant music that gave me this lump in my throat....sigh..sigh..sigh.. What i am trying to say is that this piece is so "bittersweetly" divine, dhaye.
