FIVE

FIVE

A Chapter by Dhaye
"

It's been so long...

"

Who won't be amazed of how smart you are?
Who won't be glad seeing you as my little star?
It's been so long that I held you in my arm
Like a fragile thing, I had never let anything to harm

I am old but was "young" to be responsible, I know
I have no experience, have nothing to show
But I tried my best to give everything that  I am
I didn't think of what will happen when tomorrows come

At five I know you are too smart as a little guy
There are things that only you can do, we can't deny
I promise to be the best woman in your life, my little man
I will always love you and give the best that I can...

Indeed, such is the joy and wonderment to be found within every child, our paternal instincts naturally bond with ultra amazing and unbreakable strength !

An edifying, infectiously warm poetic short write !
